WE ARE DELIGHTED YOU CHOSE TO BECOME A 2021 SL CHRISTMAS EXPO SPONSOR! WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO GET INVOLVED WITH THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY AND THE EXPO? HOW MANY YEARS HAVE YOU PARTICIPATED?
I think this is year 5 or 6
WHAT MADE YOU BECOME A VIRTUAL MERCHANT / CREATOR ? WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THE AREA YOU SPECIALIZE IN?
I love to create and making my own clothes just seemed to be a natural progression of my need to be learning & doing. I don’t really specialize in any one area. While I make predominately women’s clothes I have made a few men’s things as well as household decorations & wedding invites. Usually I see something & wonder “Oh…. how can I make that?” then give it my best shot.
WHAT DAY, OF THE 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS, IS YOUR FAVORITE AND WHY?
I don’t really have a favorite day. I just love the holidays. My family limits me…. I am not allowed to do any Christmas activities (decorating, movies, music, etc) until the day after Thanksgiving. Then I am allowed free reign until the first weekend of January.
WHAT DO YOU DO IN SL WHEN YOU ARE NOT WORKING ON YOUR BUSINESS?
I am a member of a terrific Bloodlines clan, really more of a family and we spend alot of time together. I also have a great fiancée that I spend most of my time with. We watch movies, explore sl, go dancing or just chat while I am working. Our upcoming New Year’s Day wedding was the inspiration for many of the designs I am offering at the expo this year.
CAN YOU GIVE US A HINT AS TO WHAT WE CAN LOOK FORWARD TO IN 2022 FROM YOUR STORE?
We had a pretty good year this year, did a lot of growing. The growing pains were… well… a pain. LOL However I think we learned a lot and expect 2022 to be even better. We are going to utilize the Marketplace more, take part in more events and have more regular releases of new designs.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR SHOP AT THE EXPO. WHAT CAN WE FIND THERE? ARE YOU OFFERING ANY SPECIALS, AND IF SO, WHAT ARE THEY?
Exclusive to the EXPO this year are a few formals in cool winter tones. A sweet, romantic, off the shoulder gown. A more daring, backless gown. And a soft sweater and velvet skirt combo. After the EXPO they won’t be offered in the store until after the 1st of the year.
I am also offering a mix & match option again. A beautiful fuzzy sweater in 8 color HUD options that can be paired with Christmas Jeans, or a couple skirt options. Plus matching accessories like jewelry, shoes and hats.
