Eclair, how did you become involved in the Christmas expo?
I was asked two years ago to volunteer and I said yes. A bit later, I asked – “what did I just volunteer for?”. Gasp! Landscape and decorate 4 sims in a short amount of time? After the shock wore off, we did it and it was fun. Nuala asked this year and again – we will make it happen!
What is it exactly that you do for Christmas Expo?
Kick rocks, fling snow, plant trees and create as much havoc and mayhem as possible while driving around in silly vehicles. As a landscape designer for the sims, I try to get into the heads of those with the vision for Christmas Expo – then make it happen. Create the magic that is winter, Christmas and Christmas Expo.
Do you work with any other charity? If so, which one and why?
No – just American Cancer Society and Relay for Life in Second Life.
We all have a reason as to why we relay, What’s yours?
Because if everybody does a little bit, a lot gets done. All that gets done supports the research, support and education for ACS, which then benefits the many people who have cancer.
What landscape theme from Second Life would you love to live on in real life?
Fantasy…full out imagination world full of sparklies, floofy things, things that make you say “Ohhhh!” and smile. Let’s not forget teleporting and flying/driving magical vehicles of all sorts.
I see a lot of quotes and good advice in your profile, What is your favourite quote?
“Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, “I will try again tomorrow”.
Mince pies OR Gingerbread?
Gingerbread. I’d really prefer some whip cream with pumpkin pie on the side.
What are you on this year, the naughty or nice list?
While I try to maintain an aura of naughty, I really am nice.
Name your favourite Christmas film.
It’s A Wonderful Life.
What about Christmas Carols. do you have one that you love?
Soooo MANY to choose from! Silver Bells
What are you most proud of?
In Second Life, the ability to walk straight, change clothes in under 3 minutes, and turning prims into magic stuffs. In real life – my daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren.
Finally, Santa is giving out wishes this year, what does your heart desire?
Whew, again so many choices. Unlimited wishes!! A cure for cancer and the many other life-threatening medical issues. For people to realize that we are all the same … no matter the gender, age, ethnic, culture, skin color, religion, and political views – we must stand together and for each other. In Second Life, I’d like unlimited land prims please.
Thank you so much if you made it this far!
